It's not true that things work if you want. I am doing great since the day I started. Haven't touched anything for over a yr. But when false positives started happening. It's messed up. I sit and listen it happens alot
Incompetence and long waiting times are what awaits you at BH health in Westminster MD. Even when they have enough counselors ( They frequently do not) there will be another reason for them to keep you there for 45+ minutes. I had to see my counselor on a Tuesday last week. The waiting time was over 45 minutes so they gave me the option of seeing some one the next day. I came in the next day a little later (around 8) in hopes there would be less of a wait. At last there is no one in front of me! Whats this? All the counselors are in a meeting? During dosing hours? Only a 10 minute wait you say? Ok I will wait (who knows how long the wait will be tomorrow) 35 minutes later and the counselors are finally leaving the meeting. Other than long wait times you WILL have to deal with, there will be incompetence to suffer through like no other. None of the counselors seem to know the clinics policies. I get a different answer from each person. I have had this experience on several occasions with several different counselors on several different topics/policies. The doctor only comes in once a week. So if you have to see the doctor (and you will, often) you will end up being there for 45+ minutes. The longest I have had to wait was 1:35 minutes. I knew it was going to be this long so I was able to put my name down and leave for over an hour. I successfully kept my spot, almost like a real appointment!!! I did feel really bad for the people who had to wait for over an hour just to see a counselor and talk about nothing. The counselors ask you the same questions every week. They dont seem to write anything down or at-least they dont bother reading any of it. Its like dealing with a Alzheimer's patient. What do you do for a living? "Its written down right there, you ask me this every week" (I am going to start giving them a different profession every week to see if they notice. One week I will be a bounty hunter and the next a circus acrobat)Do you like what you do? "Its written down right there, you ask me this every week" Are you on probation? "NO. You have this written down, you ask me this every week" "What happened here? on this date? "you mean 3 months ago?!? we have talked about this exactly 11 times, you have this written down, you ask me every week" How are you doing in recovery? "To be honest I am starting to lose my mind, I dont know why" The nurses are always friendly and good at there jobs. The receptionist are usually pretty nice and understanding as well. I know its not their fault (although they could handle some situations better.) Its mainly the counselors, the policies, the employee turn over rate and the management.
Things work great here if you truly want help, the people are nice and curious.... I have been there since April 2016 and already experienced a major change in my lifestyle of daily living! My counselor is very considerate and understanding, I would not want anyone other than him for myself as a counselor not saying the other ones wouldn't be great, but I got used to him and we just click it works and it helps me!! My counselor is there for me and talks me through a lot of things!! Just be honest with the staff and I believe everything will go great for you if you are looking for a place that will help you.
This place is a joke basically giving free (legal) dope to our community it's sad and sick to see the hundreds of people lined up to get free drugs this place is a huge reason we are moving our family out of Westminster I hope you people rot in hell for what you do
