I've eaten here on a few other occasions: They have amazing meatball subs, and sausage lentil soup.
The staff and owner were very friendly. Ordering was a little bit disorganized and it took a while to get all of our food but I'm sure the Oyster Stroll was probably the cause of that. The food itself was quite good. I got the old bay wings, which they heated up in the microwave so I could eat them there. I also got the sausage chili and my fiancée got an Italian sub with all the fixings.
As dinner drew to a close, the owner told us he firmly believed the remaining food was paid for by us, the patrons, and that we owned it. He welcomed us to make a box and take some extra home.
Visited Giulianova for the first time during the Oyster Stroll on October 8. It's a classic main street shop with the deli case on the left just in the front door and shelves and refrigerators on the right with ready-to-go items.
Its obvious the owner takes pride in his work. Attended an evening dinner and concert here. The menu advertised it as a shrimp boil, with shrimp, sausage, corn potatoes and dessert on the menu.
The sausage chili was very good (I'm a bit of a chili fanatic, I get it almost everywhere). The old bay wings were good though the microwave did make the breading a little soggy. I also had part of the Italian sub and that was very, very good as well.
If there was anything about my visit that I could complain about it might be that the place could be a little bit cleaner. I noticed while waiting for our food, a considerable amount of built up dust/dirt on the flags that hang from the ceiling above the entrance and deli case. Despite this and the ordering, it was still an overall good visit and I would not hesitate to eat here again next time I am in Westminster.
In actuality, several other dishes were offered as well: a homemade shrimp salad, a homemade chili and fried chicken wings. All the dishes were well prepared. The food was put out buffet style, which it wasn't' advertised as.
Speaking as an NJ/NY native...best Italian sub I ever had.
Best Italian hoagie ever and I have had them all over the country. Great Italian deli meats and cheeses. Billy also has prepared many dishes for special occasions and never disappoints.
Billy is the best! Always something smelling great when you walk in the door. Must try chicken salad and shrimp salad. Eggplant lasagna! Check out his refrigerators with all the soups and fixings!
